Planting and care of "street trees" by curbs
We arrange care for new and needy city-planted trees by curbs, by participating property owners and our volunteers. We've advised the city on >100 new trees planted so far.
Restoring "second row" trees
We add major trees to fill in the historic second row parallel to the street trees by curbs—68 so far. Double rows of tall trees framing the mansions made Mass Ave a world attraction. Elsewhere this landscape’s been lost.
Stopping 40 years of tree loss
Contractors and their clients should abide by the Urban Forest Preservation Act of 2002, which bars cutting large trees on public and private land without prior city approval.
